Vinyasa & Hatha yoga flow are yoga poses that are held through several breaths. Vinyasa Flow is a fast paced flow, while Hatha yoga flow is slower. Both forms of yoga encourages breath to body movement and brings greater focus to the mind through the breath.
Balance poses offer both physical and mental benefits. Physically, we strengthen and elongate the muscles, in order to get to know our center of gravity and how to align ourselves. Balancing improves the function of the equilibrium receptors in the body, and contributes to learning the importance of yoga through the principle of rooting down.
Shavasana is an asana in hatha yoga, often used for relaxation at the end of a session. Shavasana relaxes the whole body, releases stress, fatigue, depression and tension. Shavasana also contributes to improving concentration, calming the mind,improving mental health, stimulating blood flow, and curing insomnia.
